Snow Day #4

Emma holding the snowball that Daddy made.
Henry had a turn too and asked if we could keep it. So guess what is hanging out in out freezer? Yep, the snowball has a nice chilly home:)
This is the frozen drip from the faucet outside.
This was once it started to really come fluttering down. I almost didn't see these icicles on my little adventure outside.
Each little one uniquely made, no two the same. Big fluffy snowflakes:)
This chair was empty yesterday. Now it has about 4-5" piled on top of it. And more is coming.
A view of our snow covered backyard. The kids are itching to get out in it, but they both have a cough and I'm hesitant to let them out in the cold.
The side gate. About the one and only part I like about chain link fences, the scroll on top. It now has three times the amount of snow on it.
I wanted to go out on the balcony off our bedroom, but the door was frozen shut! So this is from the window to the balcony looking out to the back of the yard.
Another view from our bedroom window. The snow on Tuesday didn't linger on the tree branches. Last night/early this morning proved to be "real" snow and the trees have a lovely snow white blanket.

It's early afternoon and the kids have remained entertained by playing together, playing games on their Nintendo DS lites, and are now watching a movie. We ordered in pizza for lunch and may also have leftovers for dinner. Daddy's watching Stargate Atlantis, the kids are watching Alpha and Omega, and I'm about to either read some more or enjoy a movie on my laptop. We'll likely venture out tomorrow. We need to pick up a few things. School will most likely be back in session on Monday and we'll get back to a regular routine.

Just wanted you to know it was 49 degrees this morning when I went outside at 6:30 am to feed the chickens. That's downright warm comparitively. Enjoy your snow while it lasts. I know I'm enjoying our warm weather.
