Snow Day#3

Yes, you read the title to this post correctly, it is now day 3 of our never ending winter storm. And yes, that is annoyance in my voice. We are now experiencing cabin fever like you wouldn't believe. Oh and did I mention yet that school will not be in session again tomorrow?! That means, 4 snow days in a row in TEXAS! The first two days, the kids were content with playing, coloring, and watching videos throughout the day. Day 3, we did homework, played, and tried to keep the house in some form of order. We've also gotten on each other's nerves. The kids miss their school friends and their daily school routine. Mommy and Daddy miss the quiet time during the day. From the second these kids wake up we hear non stop talking, arguing...noise. It's not all bad, but I tend to have a limit sometimes. I think adults(parents) can be overstimulated by sounds and activities just like kids. I know I get that way sometimes. We have made it through three days and I'm sure we'll make it through however many more snow days. Tomorrow should be an easier day(I hope). I think that we will play some games and get a head start on our Valentine's for school and for family. And I just came up with another idea. Perhaps I'll make sure that their little digital cameras have fresh batteries and we'll go on an indoor photo safari.

Side note- Emma is doing so much better. The rash from the Scarlet Fever is almost completely gone and she hasn't complained about her throat or ears hurting in several days. She is almost done with the antibiotic and we take her in for a re-check on Tuesday. Henry has only a few small bruises left on his face from his major face plant. And the inside of his nose that was scratched up is almost done healing as well.
