Yesterday all the moms of the two Kindergarten classes were invited for a special Mother's Day presentation at the school. The kids were all dressed in their "Sunday best" and the mommies got to dress up as well. I must say, we all looked smashing! Mrs. A read us(the mommies) one of her favorite stories that so defines being a mom. And then the kids came out and sang two songs for us. They did a fabulous job!
We then split back into the individual classes. Each child presented their mom with a rose(pink or red) and a description of their mom and what they liked about her. We had our pictures taken together and got to spend some one on one(or in my case two on one) time together. We also had cake and punch, which the kids LOVED:)
And lastly, at the beginning of the year the kids painted a picture on canvas. Yesterday, as part of the presentation, we were able to take those wonderful pieces of art home. It was a great afternoon. And I'm so proud of not only my Henry and Emma, but of all the kids for their hard work!
