Papa is Coming Home!!!

Here's a brief update on my Dad/Papa. Dad is getting released today a full week earlier than expected from the rehab hospital that he was transferred to. He is progressing really well with his recovery and the therapists and doctors both agreed that he could go home. So sometime between 10am-12pm today, Papa will be headed home. We have been informed that full recovery could take 6-9 months, but knowing my dad it will be less than that. He has been a real trooper and has been a really good patient. So with continued hard work on his part with physical and occupational therapy, he will be back to good in no time. We are all thrilled with the news and Dad is so ready to be home. When I told the kids the news, they wanted to go right away to see him. I'm sure we'll make it over to my parents place some time this weekend for a visit.
