Jump For Nana!!!

We are jumping for Nana!!!
Henry and Emma are participating in their school's fundraising program through the beginning of March for the American Heart Association!

Jump Rope for Heart!

We are jumping rope and raising funds in honor of and support of Nana(my Mom) who is a heart patient. Nana had open heart surgery last May and has been diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension.  So we are doing all that we can to help educate, raise funds for treatment, and help heart patients any way we can.

We're asking you to help us reach our fundraising goal and help not only Nana, but so many other heart patients.

Thank you!

Fort Worth Zoo with Papa and Nana!!!

Emma and Henry trying to be patient while we waited in line for tickets and then in the entrance line after that.
This is just some of the crowd of people that were in line. We had to park in the over flow parking on the other side of the rode from the zoo. There were thousands of people at the zoo today!
Papa and Emma checking out the gorillas. I missed out on getting a shot because the gorillas headed inside before I could make my way over close enough to get a shot.
Nana and Henry watching the silver back gorilla move across the habitat.
Zebras-a must see when we go to the zoo.
Mr. Handsome and Miss Pretty looking at the zebras.
This is Groucho, one of the five elephants at the zoo. I don't remember the other names of the family here in the habitat.
Some of the other elephants.
Two of the giraffes munching away. The giraffes were top on the list for Emma. She loves giraffes:)
Henry taking a peek behind the scenes.
Emma and Nana were buddies today.
Henry riding the baby elephant.
Emma riding the baby elephant.
The elephants were taking dust baths to keep the bugs off today.
Another awesome creature.
"Hey Nanie, what's that over there?!"
Papa was our guide today(kinda). He gave us all the info on each animal. Here he is reading about the animal below. Yep, Mommy memory today isn't very good.

Look, it's the latest and greatest new exhibit at the zoo! It's a Henry and Emma!
Too much papparazzi for this kangaroo, burying his head under his paws:)
The kangaroos weren't too jumpy today. They were napping when we went by. I believe that they were napping last time we were at the zoo as well. Somebody needs to get these guys some entertainment.
Watching some pheasants run by.
On our way out, we stopped and watched the lemurs groom each other. Nana is laughing because right before I took the picture, one of the lemurs feel off of the tree branch that they were perched on due to his fellow lemur getting a bit too into grooming and getting a little grabby:)
Lemurs, I could watch these two for a while. They were too cute and fun to watch!
My favorite picture from our day!
We had to stop and see the mingos!
The group they had in this spot weren't the usual bright pink.

Counting the mingos(flamingos) with Papa and Nana.
We also spotted this tortuous having a late lunch.
A closer shot of the croc.
I think this croc put on a show just for the kids. The kids got to see him from all different angles.
Henry was in awe of this croc.
We had a nice breeze all day long and then on the way back to the car it started to get really windy. Henry had to race Emma. Had to!

Nana and Papa invited us to go to the zoo today. It's half price day. It's also the middle of Spring Break and it was insane the amount of people that had the same idea that we did. There were literally thousands of people at the zoo today. So we didn't get to see a lot, but we were all okay with that. It was a great day with Papa and Nana!

State Fair Weekend at Papa and Nana's

Nana and Papa watching the kids wrestle with Uncle Philip.

Maybe if we get Uncle Philip from both sides we'll win!

Henry pins down Uncle Philip! All three of them were laughing the entire time:)

Emma with 'smore fingers. A treat from her Papa:)

Henry taking a biiiiig bite out of his 'smore.

Papa made 'smores for the kids. It was too late to make them outside on Friday and Saturday night(in the firepit), so he used the stove and they still turned out yummy!

Emma sat down on Uncle Philip's lap to help him with some work. He shared his iPod with her and she played Build-a-Bug.

Uncle Philip read them bedtime stories Friday night. He wasn't feeling well, so he opted to stay home the next day(fair day).

Concentrating on the story.

Snuggling with Papa. The fair was fun, but I think all three of us really enjoyed the time with Papa and Nana more:)

Snuggling with his Papa. He was so excited to see Papa again and vice versa. With school, the four of us being sick, and Papa being sick, we haven't been able to see each other as often.

What time is it? Telling time on Papa's watch.

We had so much fun at Mom and Dad's this past weekend. We were busy as usual during our visit, but loved every minute.

Happy belated Birthday, Nana/Mom!!!

Wednesday was Nana's birthday!!! She and Papa were on vacation up in Michigan visiting Aunt Lila and Uncle Bob and had a wonderful time. So we celebrated when she got back. Here or there, we're sending her lots of hugs, kisses, and lots of love. And as Emma said just the other day, "Nana rocks!"
