Henry and Emma's 8th Birthday!!!

Eight years ago tonight at 7:52pm and again at 8:01pm, I was given the two best gifts I will ever receive, Henry and Emma. Today we celebrated with most of the Texas family and had everyone over to our house. We had beautiful weather and decided to grill some steaks for lunch. It wasn't what was originally planned, but the kids loved every second of the day today and so did we!!!

I took a little trip down memory lane and went back through pictures and some videos from when they were little last night. We've had some not so good days along the way, but they are always outweighed by the good ones.

They are happy and healthy kiddos with super huge hearts and ever growing brains. They are great friends to each other (well, most of the time) and to other kids, they continue to be great little helpers, wonderful readers, blooming artist, lovers of music, and so very curious about the world around them and how everything works.

Every year I try to write each of them a letter, but this year I've decided not to. And it's not because they each haven't grown and done so much this past year. It's because I can't seem to find the right words to say just how amazingly awesome I think Henry and Emma are, continue to be, and will be.

So, Happy 8th Birthday Henry and Emma!!! Mommy and Daddy love you so so so so much!!! Here's to a great year of being 8!!!
