Summer Review

Our Summer break is coming to an end in a week's time. We've had a low key break with no traveling.  It was a stay-cation this year.  The kids have enjoyed staying up late, sleeping in, watching way too many cartoons, slumber parties over at Papa and Nana's, a visit from Mamaw, VBS, and swimming in the pool almost daily.  

We had originally planned to do some camping trips, but ended up staying home.  Daddy's work schedule this Summer didn't really allow for traveling.  So we filled our days with the above activities.

We've been working on a couple of things this Summer and have succeeded in making and reaching some goals.  Both kiddos can swim now without floaties, swim vest, or help.  They are both more independent.  And chores have been assigned and are being completed with the bonus of some already being done without Mom or Dad reminding them to do them.  

So even though we didn't get to do all of the things that were originally planned for this Summer break, we've had a good time and are ready to go back to school.
