Henry's Face Plant:(

This morning I got a call from the school office saying that Henry had gotten hurt during recess. His class had recess inside today because of the cold temp, so the K classes were in the gym. He was running and tripped on his own feet and went face first into the cement floor. So now my handsome little man has a very fat upper lip and a big gorilla swollen nose:( He had a bad nose bleed immediately after the fall and then the swelling began and they iced his little face. Jason went up to the school because he is closer than home and checked Henry over. Daddy(Jason) said that Henry seemed a little out of it, and that his face was swollen, but that Henry did not want to come home or go see the doctor. So we decided to wait. I went with Daddy to pick up the kids from school and both Ms. Laura and Mrs. Alana(who were both wonderful today with him) warned me that he looked bad. I thought I was prepared, but I wasn't. Needless to say, I did cry when I saw him. Jason reminded me that I needed to try and keep my cool so that Henry didn't get upset. The whole time, he(Henry) was cool as a cucumber:) So family and friends, take a deep breath because it does look bad, but here is Henry and his little beat up face. We've been at Cook Children's Urgent Care Hospital for the last two hours getting x-rays and being checked by a doctor. Luckily nothing is broken, just badly bruised and swollen. So we will be icing his nose and mouth, alternating between Tylenol and Ibuprofen, and hoping that the swelling goes down.
