What's going on....

The kids have been busy doing and learning more things. Emma is talking like crazy. And Henry is really starting to catch up-he's been chattering away too. We can hold real conversations with them and that helps out a lot. They are like little monkies-climbing, running, jumping all over the house. Full of energy--LOTS of energy! Taking everything in and learning as they go. We've started coloring almost everyday and they seem to like it. Emma really loves to color and would probably do it for hours if she didn't get distracted. Henry colors some, but usually ends up eating the crayons:) Also they enjoy helping me in the kitchen. Both of them have helped on several occassions unloading the dishwasher and Henry is now taking his plate and cup in and putting them in the sink when he is finished with them. They love running around the island in the kitchen and sitting at the small table in the kitchen with toys playing and talking with each other. And as you can see from the pictures-doing a little cooking too!

Mammaw Christie(Jason's grandmother) came down for a visit on the 12th. We had a nice visit. It didn't take long for the kids to warm up and soon they were bringing her toys and running over to get tickled or kissed on. I had the camera out, but I didn't take any pictures! We had a good time and can't wait to see her again at Christmas time.

Henry and Emma are adjusting well to the switch from their cribs to toddler beds. Naptime is still a little challenge. I go in and read while they are down and most of the time they fall asleep and nap for an hour and then are up until bedtime. Although if Mamma doesn't go in with them-clothes still get pulled out of the dresser drawers, nightlite gets unplugged, and things get crazy. I have managed to sneak out a few times. Bedtime goes more smoothly. We read, rock, and have bottles and then head into their room, they get tucked in and hugged and kissed and then I stay for about five minutes and then leave. They do run around a little, but make it back to their own beds to sleep. And we haven't had anyone fall out of bed as far as we know:) So the transition is going well. The next thing to go is bottles at bedtime. We're thinking that we'll have to go coldturkey on that one. And potty training-well-nothing consistant yet, but they are willing to sit on their potty chairs and try-it's just not a daily request.

They are growing and changing so much. More pics and news to come soon.
