Family Bon Voyage Party for Cousin Elysabeth-SCAD Freshman Year
Labor Day Weekend we gathered with the family to wish our niece Elysabeth Happy Birthday and say our goodbyes before she heads off this week to Georgia to begin the next chapter in her life. She starts her Freshman year at SCAD and we could not be more proud of her and all of her hard work. We sure are going to miss you!
I'm so glad that the nuggets got to spend extra time with you this weekend. Even though there is an age gap, you three older cousins always include them in everything you do. I think that is pretty awesome and I love seeing the bond that you all have growing stronger.
19 years ago, I was a bit surprised to be invited to stay and be a part of your birth, but I am so glad that I did and have known you since the second you entered this world. You have been and continue to be a bright spot, an inspiration, and just a really cool person to be around. Praying for you!

A Trip to the Gardens-Labor Day
Japanese Gardens at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens
We were invited to tag along on one of cousin, Elysabeth's photography assignments on Labor Day. She is taking Commercial Photography in her Junior year in Allen and is doing really well. She has a fantastic eye and continues to grow in her skills as a photographer.
We arrived at the gardens early enough to get some shots for her assignment before it became really hot. And luckily, a lot of the Japanese garden is shaded. The kids had a great time feeding and touching the coy fish that live in the pond that travels through the garden. We watched butterflies enjoy the last of the flowers. And we spent some great family time with the aunties and the cousin.
Although it was hot, we had a really good time and Elysabeth was able to get the shots that she needed for class. And I took the new camera and had fun watching the kids and managed to get some shoots of my own.
We are hoping to return later on in the Fall when it is cooler. It's too bad that you can't live in the gardens because I would jump at that chance!

Slumber Party Fun:)
A few weeks ago we went over to Aunt Amy's(Yaya's) for a slumber party. We ended up with a pretty good crowd. Henry, Emma, Mommy, Aunt Amy, Elysabeth, Aunt Suza, cousin Catie, cousin Sarah, and the puppies-Ranger and Riley. We had a blast!!!
We had all sorts of fun. We played with toys, played at the park, went out for dinner and dessert, watched some of a video, colored, did some crafts, played with the puppies, played games, and just had a really great time together. We hope to do it again soon.
