Grandpa's and B,L,and C's Visit!!!

Grandpa came down for a visit this past week.  He flew in late Tuesday night and had two built in alarm clocks wake him up Wednesday morning!  While the kids were at school Grandpa and I (Mommy/Jenny) went to our large storage unit to go thru some things that we brought back from Lubbock.  And then Daddy (Jason) came and the three of us went out to lunch and made it back in time to pick up the kiddos from school.  On Thursday, we went back to storage and finished finding what Grandpa was looking for.  He is working on the family's genealogy and needed some of the documents. Once homework was done Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, it was play time with Grandpa.  Grandpa, Henry, and Emma played Candyland and Eagle Eye I Spy.  The kids introduced him to one of our favorite book characters, Skippyjon Jones(thanks-Aunt Tanya, Isabel, Hope, and Dot).  He read at least one bedtime story every night to the kids if not more.  And on Friday, Grandpa and I went to have lunch with the kids at school.  Grandpa was a big hit with all the kids and I was able to give him a short tour of the school grounds.

Aunt Lisa, Uncle Brian, and cousin/nephew Charles drove down for the weekend too!  We all had dinner Friday night together, met with Nana and Papa, Saturday morning for breakfast, and then spent some great family time together at the apartment.  The kids had so much fun together.  And Lisa, Brian, Grandpa, Daddy, and Mommy were able to have some adult time while they played.  The big boys made there annual trip together to Fry's Electronics and Daddy(Jason) showed them the new space for the DPRG.  Mommy and Aunt Lisa were able to catch up on what's been going on and to start making plans for the next visit.

The week and weekend were filled with lots of stories, laughter, the rumble of six little feet running around our apartment, giggles from the three little cousins, lots of picture taking,  good food, and some really great family time.  We are so glad that Grandpa could come down and have a special visit with all of us and glad that we had the bonus of Aunt Lisa, Uncle Brian and cousin/nephew Charles here for a visit as well.
