Summer Roadtrip Day 8-9 Seal Rock, Oregon

Days 8 and 9 were spent in Seal Rock, Oregon at Seal Cove.  We reserved a camping spot and had our first camping adventure as a family.  The owner of the camping/rv park told us that it was the best tent camping spot in their little park.  And she was right!  We had a great view of the beach which was roughly 40 yards or so away.  We also had the best camping neighbors ever!  They had two extra steaks and some cupcakes that they shared with us.  We had great conversation and great company and the kids had a great time running around the grounds and burning off some cooped up energy.  Emma informed us that she loves camping and enjoyed herself.  Henry was a little more hesitant.  He had to have a few modern conveniences to keep him happy and he said that he was cold even though he was properly dressed and we had a nice big fire.  His opinion of camping did change later in the trip.  Daddy and the kids went for a walk on the beach and collected a  few shells and enjoyed the beautiful view.  Henry and I went back out a little later and had our own adventure.  He wanted to go to a spot that he told me they had gone to earlier.  The little booger stretched the truth and I later found out that Daddy avoided that spot on purpose.  We made it back to camp safe and sound and roasted hot dogs and later marshmallows.  We got the kids tucked in and enjoyed the peace and quiet and the big star filled sky.  I highly recommend this little spot.  The camp grounds were clean and they have clean bathrooms and showers close by and the owners are wonderful and from Texas.  The area is just really pretty.  We do plan on returning for another camping visit and to see the seals on the rock.  We arrived too late in the day and left too early the next day to see them in the morning.  It was still quite a view and the beach was just lovely.
