Wrapping Up the School Year

In a matter of a few days, Henry and Emma will be done with their first year of Kindergarten.  They have about nine days left.  From what they are telling me each afternoon and from the class calenders, there are still lots of things going on all the way until the last day of school.  Tomorrow is dress as your favorite super hero or favorite princess.  Henry is going as Spiderman and Emma is going as Rapunzel ,correction, Sleeping Beauty.  They are so excited.  They also have a surprise tomorrow, one of the parents are treating the kids to a hot lunch Friday-cheese pizza and juice boxes!  Next week, they have several activities.  Thursday is Bandanna day and Friday is Splash Day/Hawaiian Dress Up Day.  These two days will be spent mostly outside doing fun activities and of course, getting wet!  The following week, we go on their final field trip-Euless Public Library, McDonald's for lunch, and then the roller skating rink in Hurst.  The 1st of June is tattoo day and blue shirt signing day.  All of the kids have t-shirts that they wear on field trips and I'm guessing that they will be getting every one's autograph.  And then the 2nd is the last day of school.  There will be an awards ceremony in the morning and then shortly after that is early dismissal.  So as you can see, it's a busy time for us.
