Each class did a book exchange. The kids that wanted to participate brought in a wrapped gender neutral book that was no more than five dollars. Ms. Laura read a special Christmas to the kids and each time a certain word was said they passed the books, kind of like a white elephant gift exchange. Emma's on the left waiting while everyone gets a gift.
Henry is in the middle in the back. His class also did a book exchange. They had fun with this because they had to pay attention and listen for the special word before passing the book to the friend beside them.

Emma at the cookie decorating table. Ms. Laura was brave and let the kids eat the cookies once they were decorated. So they all had a small sugar rush:)I volunteered to help with the party. I helped with setting up the different tables(stations) and cleaning up after, as well as taking pictures. Some of the other moms brought their cameras or used their phone cameras, but I was asked to take pictures of both classes. I spent my time going back and forth between classes taking pictures.
The kids had a great time and so did the parents. It was also pajama day and they thought that was really neat! And they all looked so cute in their pjs!
