Painting Pumpkins

A princess in a pink princess dress with a jeweled crown.
A castle for the pretty pink princess.
And three ghosts:)
A spooky haunted house complete with a flying ghost and two black bats.
A pirate ship also complete with a sword carrying pirate. Henry picked the colors.
And a happy jack-o-lantern face:)

We had to toss our two big pumpkins, so they won't be glowing on Halloween night:( But, we still have three small baby pumpkins and yesterday, Henry asked if we could carve the little ones. Well, since our large pumpkins didn't last long after we carved them, I opted for painting the baby pumpkins. So after the dreaded homework(I'll write about that soon too), we sat down and started to paint. Emma painted hers herself and then asked if I'd paint it instead. The whole time she said that she was a better artist. I reassured Henry that he was also a great artist. Henry helped paint his, but I ended up painting his as well. He told me what he wanted and picked out pictures to use as a reference and also picked the colors. And then Emma did the same. So here's what we did yesterday afternoon.
