Sinus Infection For Henry
One thing that we dreaded about school, but can not avoid is the whole getting sick 9 bizillion times until immune systems get into a routine. Both kids brought home a cold within the first two weeks of school. Emma just finished a 10 day course of antibiotics for a double ear infection and Henry just started yesterday on a 10 day course of antibiotics for a sinus infection. Poor kids. It's been grumpy central here at our house. The grumpiness factor increases at our house when little people and big people aren't feeling well. The Little Old Man has been walking around for about a week all snubby(stuffy), sneezing whitish goo, and coughing. I hesitated to take him in thinking that it may be allergies kicking in big time since the weather is changing here and because we've had an extra furry friend here for the past 2 weeks. I made the decision at the end of last week that when we took Emma in for her recheck that we'd have Henry looked at as well. So we went in yesterday and sure enough, it's a sinus infection. While waiting for the doctor to come in he asked if we could get his cough fixed:) He started on antibiotics last night and had his second dose this morning. I'm hoping that it works fast on him. He sounds horrible when he coughs and it is really hard to get him to blow his nose to get the junk out. Either way, he'll finish the antibiotic and we'll kick those yucky bugs to the curb!
