VBS Arts and Crafts

Henry's loot-stamped place mats for snack time, treasures that he found, stickers, handmade necklace, handmade picture frame for the fridge, and other crafts to go along with the Bible stories from the week.
Emma's loot-the same as Henry's.
The kids were in separate groups all week. Great practice for Fall when school begins with the possibility of being in separate classes.

The week of the 21st of June the kids attended VBS (vacation Bible school) at Nana and Papa's church. Mommy and Daddy got a kid free week that was much needed and appreciated. The kids each brought home a bag full of the things they did that week. The theme for VBS this year was Seaquest. So all of their arts and crafts were sea related and one of the activities that the kids got to do was build sand castles. the church gym was set up with stations for all the kids and they moved from place to place. Papa is the building manager at the church, Nana volunteered to help with snacks for the week, and cousin Elysabeth and her best friend Meredith volunteered to help with the kids. So they got to see a family member each day and are familiar with the church anyway from either going to see Papa at work or for attending Sunday school. They both said that they had fun and learned a lot about God and made some new friends. I was told that the week went well and neither one had any behavior problems. They had roughly 125 kids attend this year. Henry was a bit overwhelmed the first day or two. Crowds aren't his thing and he was a bit on the shy side, but warmed up after that. And Emma was a social butterfly. I'm sure they will flip that again like they always do. It was a successful week and fun for them to. And we plan on attending next year either at Papa and Nana's church or at our own(when and if we find one we like).
