I'm taking a quick break from the beginning of packing to share the news. We are indeed moving again, but not far. And we are going back into a house! They increased our rent here at the apartment and while we like it here, it is just getting too expensive for us to stay. When Jason changed jobs he took a pay cut, but the upside is he is A LOT more happy with the new company and has very little stress. We had intended to look at apartments and maybe rental houses in the near area and received an answer to prayers when we found the house we are moving into. All of this has happened in a matter of a week! Here is the really cool part, besides having a house again, we will be within a 15 minute walk to school! We're all excited! The kids ran happy laps around the backyard and have already made plans for their new rooms. And are looking forward to having play dates at our place once again and not at a park.
Carpets are getting cleaned, cable getting setup, and a new fridge is being delivered Thursday. So I will be hanging out at the house waiting for everyone. And Saturday, a friend of ours that runs her own cleaning business will be coming to clean the house for us and in a few more weeks will clean the apartment once we are out. She does an amazing job and it makes our life during this transition a bit easier. The big move will come at the beginning of October. Until then, we will be making trips with boxes and small stuff over to the house and getting things set up.
We are all going to stay pretty busy until after the move. The kids with school and being kids, Jason with work and transferring boxes, and me with packing and volunteering and subbing at school. I'm excited, but come on, it's moving. I've become a master packer for sure:)
Today, I've managed to get most of the kitchen packed. I've taken us down to the basics. Everything else is kitchen wise is packed and ready to go. I'll be coming to a stopping point soon, so that I am ready to help with homework with the kids. Tomorrow is a half day of packing and the other half taking the furry kids to the vets for their shots and a nail trim. Wednesday, I'm at school all day and Thursday, at the house all day. Friday will be my next full day of packing.
Woohooo, we're moving!
