Japanese Gardens at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens
We were invited to tag along on one of cousin, Elysabeth's photography assignments on Labor Day. She is taking Commercial Photography in her Junior year in Allen and is doing really well. She has a fantastic eye and continues to grow in her skills as a photographer.
We arrived at the gardens early enough to get some shots for her assignment before it became really hot. And luckily, a lot of the Japanese garden is shaded. The kids had a great time feeding and touching the coy fish that live in the pond that travels through the garden. We watched butterflies enjoy the last of the flowers. And we spent some great family time with the aunties and the cousin.
Although it was hot, we had a really good time and Elysabeth was able to get the shots that she needed for class. And I took the new camera and had fun watching the kids and managed to get some shoots of my own.
We are hoping to return later on in the Fall when it is cooler. It's too bad that you can't live in the gardens because I would jump at that chance!
