Mom/ Nana Update #2

5/23-Mom had a pace maker put in this afternoon.  The procedure went well and she is set to be discharged sometime tomorrow.  She will be in a sling for a few weeks and will have to keep her arms down for a while.

5/24-Mom went home today!!!

5/25-We went over to Mom and Dad's today for a low key family cook out to celebrate two things, Mom being home and Mom and Dad's 51st wedding anniversary!  Mom was thrilled to have everyone over and was pretty chatty for most of the afternoon.  She did sleep and so did Dad while we were all there.  Hard to believe with all of the noise;)  She is on a pain med for the incision for the pace maker and arm pain.   The doctors said that she would be sore for several days and she is.

6/2-A bit of a jump between updates, but school has been wrapping up for the year.  Mom is still doing well.  PT comes to the house 2x week and she will soon start going to out patient PT 2-3x a week.  Unfortunately, she is continues to have trouble sleeping at night and has had some shortness of breath as well.  We remain hopeful that these problems will go away with further healing.

We weren't able to go over this weekend because I was am not feeling well and we aren't sure if it's just bad allergies or the start of something else. Hoping to go over soon and help out.  I'm very thankful that my brothers and sisters live close to Mom and Dad and are able to help.  After tomorrow, I should be able to be on hand more to help.

Please continue to pray for Mom's recovery.  She still has a lot of healing to do and a lot of rehab to do.  And pray for my Dad and siblings as they are working hard to help her around the clock and I know that they are extremely tired.  Pray also for her medical team that continues to be amazing.
