Nine years ago today, we welcomed these two little nuggets into our lives. It was a long 9 months(yes, you read that right. Carried them for 39.5 weeks). In this last year alone, we have seen some big changes.
Emma-you have grown at least 2 inches and are taller than your brother, for now. Your teeth keep falling out of your head;) You love to sing and dance your own unique jig. You are becoming a more well rounded artist. Sewing, designing clothes and playing Mine Craft are your latest passions. You also like making your own little books and we keep finding them all over. You are currently your class president, a really good friend, and a girly girl. You love makeup and nail polish and scented lotion and if we let you, you would probably live in the bathtub. You are a treasure and we love you so so very much.
Henry-You are turning into a young man right in front of my eyes. You're a little gentleman. You open and hold doors for people, you help your teacher every day, and you try to be a helper at home. You continue to have your own personal soundtrack as you move about your day. You love music and have some awesome dance moves. You are a big fan of Pokemon, Mario Bros., NFL football, and Mine Craft. You give the best hugs. You love apples, robots, sharks, and learning about space. You are a treasure too.
You both have become fans of Scifi and enjoy watching shows on the History Channel, Discovery, Sci-Fi, and BBC America. Your reading has improved and we are seeing you both read more for enjoyment than for school requirements. You are becoming more and more curious about the real world around you and have been asking tougher questions. Your love for your friends and family bring us pure joy. And your growing love of God is exciting to see.
You are already eating like teenagers.. We can't seem to keep you "fat and happy". I didn't think that people your size could eat THAT much;) And ya'll are going through clothes like crazy. Henry, you and I wear the same shoe size! Wait, I don't want boy shoes:) You also still like to rise with the sun and beat your alarm clock almost every day and on weekends. Emma, you are like Daddy, you love your sleep! It takes an alarm and several wake up reminders from Mom to get moving. You both love the outdoors, fruit, hanging out together(ew gross, but true), and spending time with your family.
Nine years. Nine years of the best parts of your Daddy's and my life together. We love you and are so proud of all of your accomplishments.
