Mom and Dad(Papa and Nana) celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 25th. We waited to celebrate as a family because my mom(Nana) has been dealing with recovering from knee replacement surgery and has run into a few issues along the way. She is doing much better now. They asked for a small celebration and did not want anything big. So it was a family affair. We had dinner at JR's Steakhouse in Colleyville and enjoyed a five course meal. My sister Amy had a bakery here in Keller make a close copy of their wedding cake. And we gathered up pictures from their 5 decades together and wrote letters to them and put it all into a video presentation. We enjoyed some really yummy food, some great conversations, and celebrated with them. and at the end of the evening Dad got up and thanked everyone and then sang his version of Tex Ritter's "Fall Away" to Mom. There aren't enough words out there to tell you how amazing these two people are and how much they mean to me and the entire family. Happy 50th Anniversary, Mom and Dad!!!
