As our last art project for December, we made home made ornaments for the parents. I made a large batch of salt dough and had the kids paint them. We then sealed them with several layers of Mod Pog and one layer with glitter mixed in. Each ornament had a simple little label with the child's name and 2012 on the back. I added on ribbon and sealed the back. They also decorated simple brown paper bags, chose a sheet of colored or decorated tissue paper to wrap it in, and then made little gift cards. We finished the bags off with two colors of curling ribbon. Henry's is the orange and red one on the right hand lower side. Emma's is now on Nana and Papa's tree. Her's was part of Nana's Christmas present.
