Polar Express Day/Pajama Day. Christmas Party Day!

On the 19th, we got to wear our pjs to school!  The kids watched Polar Express and were served hot chocolate with marshmallows, donuts, pigs in blankets, candy canes, mini cinnamon rolls, chips, pizza, popcorn, and cookies.  It was a sugar and junk food fest!  And we had alternatives for those with allergies.

The kids also brought in their favorite board games and we broke into groups and played those most of the day.  It was too cold to play outside, so we the different classes did various things.  Some played more board games, some did crafts, and some watched another movie.

The kids had a great time together and even though they were stuck inside all day, behaved well.  Santa came by for a surprise visit and the kids really loved that!  He also left a box for the first graders(put together by this little elf) of jingle bell necklaces.  The box was still ice cold from the long trip from the North Pole;)

It was a wonderful way to wrap up the week!
