What It Takes...

to send two little people to Kindergarten.

Henry chose a Bumblebee(Transformers) backpack and a Scooby Doo lunchbox. Emma chose a Princess(Disney) backpack and a Little Petshop lunchbox. Each have to take two folders every day.

I had the manilla, colored construction paper, and pack of copy paper, and the primary journals all stacked up. If I would have laid them out for both kids, it would have covered the dining room table. The pictures don't do it justice. I filled up two medium/large boxes-one for each kiddo. Thanks to Office Depot and Target we were able to get everything they need for the year.

Jason will go tonight to the orientation meeting and get their stuff stowed away and then on Friday evening, we'll go meet the teacher(s) at a meet and greet. We'll find out tonight if the kids are in the same class.

We've also been adjusting our wake up time to get all of us ready for school. I'm sure we'll run into issues, but I've got a routine down and so far it's worked pretty well. And the kids have been doing pretty well with the adjustment. They have been asking daily if they are going to school. In five days, the answer will finally be yes.
