Papa Returns to the Hospital

Papa had to return to the hospital a few days ago due to some severe pain in his right side. He has been admitted again and is in intermediate care. After numerous tests and scans, it has been determined that he has fluid surrounding his pancrease and a few other issues due to the pancreatitis. The decision to either do surgery or treat the problem medically has been tossed back and forth and we are waiting to find out what the final decision will be. Papa is resting comfortably(or as comfortably as possible in a hospital). He is still very week and tired, but that is to be expected with how sick he is. Since we were closer to the hospital yesterday, I was able to go visit him. I can tell he is tired and misses all of us, but he has plainly stated that he wants to get better and if that means having another stay in the hospital then that's what he'll do. We have to gown up and glove up to go in to see him until they determine if the antibiotics killed the bacterial infection. This also means that the kids haven't seen their grandfather for almost 4 weeks now and they are missing him terribly. It also means that those of us that are able to go in and see him, can't even hug or kiss him. This has been really hard because my family likes to hug:) Dad will be in "jail" this time for about 7-10 days. We are all hoping that this stay resolves any issues that are left in his recovery. So please continue to pray and/or send positive thoughts his way.
