Papa Update

My dad(Papa) is improving daily. There have been several changes over the last week. Several good changes. He is still in ICU, but we are all hoping that will change in the next day or so. Along with having to have his gall bladder removed due to gall stones, Dad also has a bad case of pancreatitis. This has caused several issues-severe abdominal pain, fever, irregular heartbeat, possible renal failure, and a whole bunch of other things. Thru the care of some really great doctors and nurses, he has made major improvements over the last week. We had been going to the hospital everyday since he was admitted, but Jason had to return to work. So Monday was the last day this week that we were there, but my mom or one of my siblings have been keeping us posted and I have called at least twice a day to check on dad and the rest of the family. His temperature returned to normal a few days ago, kidneys started functioning again, his pain level is getting better, and as of this morning; his irregular heartbeat has returned to normal sinus rhythm. Also, they started him on a clear liquid diet two days ago and as of last night, had his first solid food. He is very tired and kinda grumpy, but getting better. So please keep the prayers and positive thoughts coming his way because they are helping and we all appreciate it. Will keep you posted.
