Mud, Flying, and Trees Getting Haircuts

Henry's version of flying. Emma was racing around the yard with her arms out, giggling, and saying as she passed by me that she was flying and Henry decided to copy her.
Emma sflying. And no that is not a typo. We're still working on both kids hearing words correctly.
Chance-the happy pup. Look at that smile. He's really settling in well. And we love our pup!
The beginning of mud. The trucks and tractors were busy hauling dirt.
A rare moment indeed, these two actually playing together and getting along for more than 5 minutes.
The trees around the house got "haircuts" according to Henry and Emma. We have a total of 19 trees on our property varying in size. We had our lawn guy,who also prunes trees, come in the other day and trim the trees that are closest to the house. This is in preparation for the much needed new roof which will hopefully be in place within the next 6 months or so.
Tree carnage. And that was just a little of what was taken off. I'm going to miss all that green, but we still have plenty left. The view from across the street is totally different. And with more sunshine coming in, maybe, just maybe, we'll get more grass to come in.
"No mommy, don't take the picture yet."
"Okay, now take the picture. Do you see the truck, mommy?" He had to get the shot set up the way he wanted it. Wonder where he gets that from?!
Mud and little sweet pink cheeks because it was hot. Now imagine what his shoes looked like:)
And more mud. Emma was coated in it too. The bathtub had to have a major cleaning after these two were done.

***I will be working on getting a post together about what all we've been up to and some of the silly things the two monkeys have been saying and talking about. Patience, five year olds are busy people which in turn makes me a busy, tired person:)***
