Let's see...what have Henry and Emma been up to lately? They've experienced some new things over the past couple of months. First off, when Daddy was on vacation last month, we took the kids to see their first movie in a theater. We saw Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D. The kids did really well; kept their 3D glasses on, were quiet, and stayed with mom and dad instead of trying to run around. Henry really liked it once he got used to the glasses. Emma liked it as well, but said she thought it was too loud and she didn't really like the glasses that much.
They are both doing really well on recognizing their colors now. So now we'll try to focus more on letters and numbers and learning their full names, their address, and important phone numbers. etc.
Potty training is still in the works, but still not complete.
Dressing themselves is still a work in progress as well. They are champs at taking their clothes off and running around naked:)
Have really become Mommy and Daddy's little helpers-cleaning, unloading the dishwasher, laundry, cooking.
And of course, it wouldn't be fair if I only included the good stuff. So, the bad stuff...
Bullying each other is on the daily agenda.
Being possessive of toys has become a big problem.
Talking ugly to each other and Mom and Dad-showing their stubbornness(where in the world did they get that from?).
Staying up until the wee hours of the night to play in their room or to make a mess with the clothes in their dresser, and to do a little interior decorating of their own(moving their beds).
The good and the bad balance out. They always know that they are loved. We give each other lots of hugs and kisses and say we love each other throughout each day. Even Boots, our cat, gets hugs and kisses each day. And we cuddle them as much as they allow us too.
