Go, go, go.....

So we've been rather busy so to speak. As I have mentioned before, since we moved the kids into toddler beds, naptime pretty much doesn't exist anymore at our house. So the routine and how things get done or not get done has changed. The house is never clean for more than a day or so, laundry continues to grow in the hamper, and sleep and "free time" seem to be a thing of the past. It's go, go, go all the time and yet nothing seems to get done. I know we just have to find a new groove and things will once again run smoothly, but this inbetween period is taking it's toll of me. We went to my parents for a few days and gave Jason a break before giftcard season starts(a VERY busy time at work for him). So we spent some time with Nana, Papa, Aunt Suza, and Uncle Philip. The kids got haircuts again and so did Mamma, we got new shoes, watched a Homecoming parade, and we got to see our favorite softball team play. Emma got a new pair of maryjanes(dress shoes) and Henry got a new pair of sneakers. And we found out that both of them have gone up a shoe size! Henry sat nice and still for Mrs. Lucy while she cut his hair. Emma was a bit more difficult. Remember, she doesn't like anyone and I mean ANYONE touching her hair! Luckily, until her hair comes in thicker we just normally get her bangs cut so it doesn't take long and Lucy works fast. When all is said and done she still gets kisses and hugs no matter what. And then Saturday morning we went to Allen to watch Elysabeth play softball. She has been on a girl's softball team for a few years now. So we went to watch and cheer for our favorite team! Guess it worked because they won the game! Became friends with a gekko that lives in Nana and Papa's backyard. Henry was so brave-he tried to pick it up a few times. Emma kept telling it that it was ok and not to be scared:) We looked for it again the next day, but it hadn't warmed up outside enough yet. We also watched a Homecoming parade. Henry really liked it. Emma didn't like all the noise which is very unusual for her. They kind of switched likes and dislikes that day. They behaved really well and when asked say they had a fun time.

I know this kind of doesn't go with the rest of the post, but I have to post it before I forget. Here are a few phrases that have been heard at our house over the last week or so:

I love you too much-Emma to Henry
I need that-Henry
The end-Henry at the end of every story he "reads"
I sorry trashcan, I didn't see you there-Emma said this to the trashcan in the big bathroom at Nana and Papa's-she accidently bumped into it and turned around and said that:)
I don't like that-Emma to/about a LOT of things lately!
Mama sit down-Henry-because we are connected at the hip:)

So you could say we've been busy. We love you all and will be posting more often again. I just need to get reorganized! And I'll post lots of pictures in a day or so.
