Summer Months-the good and the bad...
Let's see...what have Henry and Emma been up to lately? They've experienced some new things over the past couple of months. First off, when Daddy was on vacation last month, we took the kids to see their first movie in a theater. We saw Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D. The kids did really well; kept their 3D glasses on, were quiet, and stayed with mom and dad instead of trying to run around. Henry really liked it once he got used to the glasses. Emma liked it as well, but said she thought it was too loud and she didn't really like the glasses that much.
They are both doing really well on recognizing their colors now. So now we'll try to focus more on letters and numbers and learning their full names, their address, and important phone numbers. etc.
Potty training is still in the works, but still not complete.
Dressing themselves is still a work in progress as well. They are champs at taking their clothes off and running around naked:)
Have really become Mommy and Daddy's little helpers-cleaning, unloading the dishwasher, laundry, cooking.
And of course, it wouldn't be fair if I only included the good stuff. So, the bad stuff...
Bullying each other is on the daily agenda.
Being possessive of toys has become a big problem.
Talking ugly to each other and Mom and Dad-showing their stubbornness(where in the world did they get that from?).
Staying up until the wee hours of the night to play in their room or to make a mess with the clothes in their dresser, and to do a little interior decorating of their own(moving their beds).
The good and the bad balance out. They always know that they are loved. We give each other lots of hugs and kisses and say we love each other throughout each day. Even Boots, our cat, gets hugs and kisses each day. And we cuddle them as much as they allow us too.

Playing in August
We went outside and played in the dirt the other morning before it got too hot out. Oddly, Henry was the one to ask to go in first. Emma put up a fight(tempertantrum), but in the end came inside.
Bird watching. This one is for Granny. She had her hands full with other outdoor toys, but insisted on taking her binoculars so she could watch the birds like her Granny.
He's such a flirt! Turning on the charm:)
Snoopy Lives!!! This ones for Aunt Suza and Uncle Philip. Guess it runs in the family-must be in the blood or something:)
Newest Watercolors
Henry LOVES dinosaurs(has too many to count) and I mean really loves them. And lately he has also started to like dragons(now has 4). And Wednesday he wanted to paint with me and Emma so as requested, Mom, painted more dinosaurs and one fire breathing dragon:)
Emma loves princesses and castles. So I did the best I could and made her one. This is Emma's castle.

Myelogram/CT Scan/ Results
I had a Myelogram/ and CT Scan done on the 29th of July to help determine what was still causing the pain in my neck. I won't go into specifics; I'll just say I'd rather not have to repeat that again. It was a long couple of days that weren't all that comfortable or fun. The team at Spine Team-docs and physical therapist met this past Monday and discussed my case and looked at my scans. I had and went in for my followup on Wednesday. The good news is I am not having surgery on my neck. The bad news is we still don't know what is causing the pain. The disc herniation has gone down, the spinal column looks good, and the nerves are not being compressed. So Dr. Bartolemei(my neurosurgeon) has referred me to another doctor. This doctor specializes in spinal cord stimulation. I will be setting up an appointment with him to have an evaluation done to see if a device will be placed on my spine that reads what kind of communication or lack of communication is going on between the spine and my brain. At least I think that's what it does. I haven't had time to do more research, but will and will post to give everyone a better explanation. So....answers, but no answers. I'm becoming more and more frustrated as time passes and we still have no answers. Maybe it's all been in my head a great big figment of my imagination...I just know that I want the pain gone. I'll post on more happy things this weekend.
