They really do exist!!!!

Yeah!!!!I just looked at the blog a few minutes ago and discovered that two new comments had been posted. Come to find out that other twins parents do exist!!! The reason I say this is because I do believe that those are the first two comments from twin parents that we've received!!! it's always nice to know that there are other parents out there struggling(maybe not on a daily basis), but still struggling with the many wonders that come with raising twins. Jason and I didn't use fertility drugs and twins don't run on either side of the family. We just got lucky! Life has changed quite a bit since Henry and Emma came along. We have been given two very good babies-healthy so far except for a couple of colds, quick learners, and well behaved. We stick to a routine and that seems to help keep them feeling secure and safe and that has proven to be the key in keeping them happy little people. The fact is they are well loved by family and friends and that helps SO much too!

In answer to the question-how do I get them to be so good for pictures?
Well...good question. Henry and Emma have had their picture taken almost on a daily basis since they were born so that has helped. Also one thing that helps is to have a digital camera that has a view screen that swivels so they can see themselves while you are taking pictures(helps when video taping too). They like looking at themselves while you are taking the picture. And there is the usual holding up their favorite toy(s), making funny faces or sounds, and just good timing. With this last post I just got really lucky. They were both pretty happy that morning and gave Mama lots of smiles and cute faces. Hope that helps.

I can't believe that in a matter of a couple of weeks they will be a year old already. We haven't even started to plan a birthday party for them. Better get busy Mama and Dada!

I'll be posting again in a few days with more pictures. We'll be seeing family this weekend again and will take lots of pictures.

February Update

I thought I'd give everyone an update on how the kiddos are doing. We'v been having lots of fun over the last few weeks. Both of the kids have more than mastered crawling and are now pulling up on anything and everything including their parents, aunts and uncles, grandparents, and let's not forget the family pets(sometimes)! They spend most of their time testing their balance while supporting themselves on the furniture, each other, and Mama and Daddy. And they are starting to move from one spot to another. It won't be long before I'm really going to be doing some running around! We had another visit to "camp" last week while Daddy was in Atlanta for work. Mama went to "camp" too! It was a good thing because Mama ended up really needing the extra hands-I got sick towards the end of the week and I'm still not feeling too good. And unfortunately I passed the coldbug on to my two little people. Henry got over it pretty quick, but Emma is congested-hard to tell she's been in a really good mood through it all. So the doctor has recommended some over-the-counter meds to help get her back to good and I'll pick that up tomorrow. Henry has turned into a picky eater almost over night it seems. One more Cheerio and I think he might turn into one! Emma on the other hand has been eating very well. They have both started trying different tables foods and we think we are about to go to the next stage of eating! Which means no more baby food and soon no more formula! Both will help bring that grocery bill down some! As for the teething- Emma is being fitted for dentures(NOT-just kidding)-she still only has the two front bottom, but they sure are pretty and Henry has started pushing through his 5th tooth-all so far on his lower gums and it looks like he has one of his first year molars already. More words have continued to come and more discovering of their fingers, hands, and toes! Here are some of the highlights from recent weeks.

Emma's new words-Socks, Papa, Nana, Broo, Block,Box, Ball, My Dad, MeowMeow,All Done,Bye-Bye
Henry's new words-Nana,Broo,Block,Down,All Done

There are more words, but Jason and I are still trying to figure them out.

Emmas' new nickname-"Little General"-long story-will share sometime soon!
Henry's new nickname-"Bubba"-Emma calls him that-it's soo cute!

We are back home now-were back Monday-and the kids finally got to see Daddy. They really missed him and it's still showing-Henry asked for Dada throughout the day today and Emma asked about him too. When Dada gets home from work they forget I'm here and that's okay! I asked Jason how they changed when he was gone-more hair, talking more, moving around more-he said. Henry has what we call a mohawk-he's got this patch of darker hair going down the middle of his head surrounded by blonde on the sides and in the back. And Emma's hair has remained brown and it looks like our sweet girl is going to have curls like her Mama and her Daddy. Emma's eyes are still a beautiful blue and looks like they are staying that way. And Henry's are...most days they are brown, but other days they are hazel or a dark dark blue. Otherwise, well, you'll see here in a minute just how cute they are!

That's about all for now. Enjoy the pictures! Take care. Talk to you soon.
