Merry Christmas 2006
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and were able to spend it with family and friends. We certainly had a lovely time. It all started on Friday, the 22nd. Aunt Lisa, Uncle Brian, Jill, and Heather came to visit us on their(Lisa&Brian's) way up to Washington. Henry was a bit shy(started to cry a bit), but then he warmed up and Emma was a little shy too, but she also warmed up quickly. They played peek-a-boo, read books, opened presents, and had a really good time with everyone. It was a really nice visit. We wish we could have gone up to Washington, but at this time Jason's company doesn't allow his department to travel during the month of December except for work. We are hoping that that will change by next year. No worries, we are planning on going up very soon. Saturday, we braved the stores one more time to pick up a few more gifts and then headed to Carrollton to exchange presents with friends. We had a good time there too. Sunday we stayed home and tried to relax a little. On Christmas morning, the kids were up at their usual time 7:30ish so Daddy and Mama didn't get to sleep in at all. We were done with opening presents at home by 8:15am. Then we got everyone showered and dressed, talked with some of the family(Jason's side) in Washington, packed up the car, and headed to Papa and Nana's house for another round of opening gifts, stuffing our faces with really good food, and spending a fun afternoon with the Martin(Jenny's side) of the family. I(Jenny) took as many pictures as I could, but it's always a challenge with Henry and Emma now. They are always in motion. They were pretty good for not napping on any of those days. We all had a wonderful time. We really hope that all of our family and friends had a wonderful holiday and have a safe new year. Lots of love to you all.
