Happy New Year!!

Well here's the latest on our two little ones. Henry and Emma are currently over at "camp". That's what we call their visits to Nana and Papa's house. Aunt Suza(Susan) has been keeping them for us this past week. Mama needed a break and Dada agreed. They'll be back home on Sunday. We've enjoyed the break, but miss them so much! They are both working on more teething. The top two teeth are suppose to be next and boy are they taking some time to push through. Poor kids. So we've all been a bit cranky. Hopefully we'll have some more teeth soon and then maybe the rest won't be so bad. Henry and Emma have both been running a temp due to the teething and have been wanting to be held a lot. They are also going through seperation anxiety with Mama and Dada. So it's been hard to get much done with a baby on each hip.
They are both exploring the house. Henry will take off on his own and then wait until either Emma follows or Mama follows to start to play. They like to race each other sometimes which occasionally turns into an arguement. And they like to try to push each other around, but they are still learning. Teaching both of them to be gentle with each other and other people has been a challenge. But we are trying to stay patient through all of it. Some days are easier than others. Jason and I are pretty sure that both of them will be walking soon. They are both pulling up on furniture or the closest persons legs for support. Henry, well maybe Emma too, has even gone so far as to let go for a second or two. Neither one of them like it too much when they end up falling onto their behinds. Maybe we should pad them more!
They are both animal lovers. Poor Smokie(our cat) gets most of the torture! They like to crawl after her where ever she goes. They are finally getting the idea of being gentle with her-her missing whiskers are back now! And she is actually really patient with them. Their other friend is Broo(my brother's dog)-he stays at my folks. He's a 14 year old Dachsund and is very good natured. Henry thinks he's great. Emmy isn't quite sure about him. Both of them get licked to death when he's around. We try to get him to avoid their mouths, but he's snuck in a couple here and there. I think that's what got Emma! That and she calls him kitty. Henry calls him dog dog or something really close.
They are both growing so fast. Emma is up to 17lbs and Henry is 19lbs. Emmy is still out little petite girl. And Henry is all muscle. They eat well and are doing pretty good on sleeping through the night. We are now doing baths every other night and will be starting to do more reading to them before bedtime. I have to go throught their clothes again and pull things that are too small for them. It seems like I just did that a week or two ago. Can't believe they will be one in just about two months.
Christmas was a lot of fun! The kids did okay. They liked the bows more than tearing at the paper. So Mama and Dada did most of the work. And we had a lot of work! We were buried with presents-it took us two hours to open presents over at my folks place. They are having fun though with the end result. They got several new toys and a lot of new clothes. Both were needed and we thank you all for your gifts. I will be including some pictures from Christmas day, but just so you all know we took more video than still shots. And I'm getting copies from my dad and will share them with you as soon as I can. When we go up north in March we'll bring the video. It was a busy weekend and we were exhausted by the end of it. Next year is going to be alot of fun!
We that's about it for now. If I think of anything else I'll post it in the next day or so.Take care and love to you all.
